Four people were dead and two others went missing Wednesday in a fishing boat capsizing accident in the waters off the southeastern coast of South Korea, according to Yonhap news agency. The 27-ton South Korean fishing boat was found capsized in high waves at about 4:30 a.m. local time in the waters some 40 km from Cape Homi near the country's southeastern port city of Pohang, the Coast Guard was quoted as saying.

SEOUL, Korea, Republic Of - South Korea's Supreme Court said a former worker in a Samsung LCD factory who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis should be recognized as having an occupationally caused disease, overturning lower court verdicts that held a lack of evidence against the worker. In a milestone decision that could aid other sickened tech workers struggling to prove the origin of their diseases, the Supreme Court ruled there was a significant link between Lee Hee-jin's disease and workplace hazards and her working conditions.

A former South Korean spy chief was jailed for four years today for leading an online smear campaign against the man who is now president, Moon Jae-In, during the 2012 election. Won Sei-Hoon, who led the National Intelligence Service from 2009 to 2013, orchestrated an illicit smear campaign to sway voters in favour of the then-ruling conservative party, the Seoul High Court said.
